The Fast and Full Recovery Workout is a Full Body Finisher routine you can do after a long run. Unlike other workouts, this one should be easy for active recovery.
Active Recovery, aka doing easy exercises, can help you loosen up tight muscles, bring new blood to your damaged tissues, and move toxins out! The idea is that it reduces your recovery time.
For me, active recovery starts immediately after my long run. There are many different things you can do for active recovery (walking, swimming, or yoga). What I’m going to show you in this video is a full-body finisher you can easily do at home, with or without weights.
You may want to use a few pieces of equipment:
- Dumbbells or Kettlebells
- Exercise band
- Yoga mat
IMPORTANT: Before you try this workout after your next long run, remember that you do so at your own risk. You know your body better than anyone. Use what is helpful and change what does not work for you. You can scale movements to fit your fitness level. Also, consult your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
