No workout video today, folks. I know. I know. I could be committing blogger suicide here, but it’s time to go holiday dark. No more posts until 2014! Here are some things I want to share. First, things to do while I’m “gone”. Second, my plans during my blog silence. Third and last…how much I appreciate you.
WHILE I’M AWAY:
- Year End Reflection – Do this BEFORE you make a New Year’s Resolution.
- Write a Healthy Lifestyle Mission Statement! Also good to do BEFORE picking new goals.
- Animal Style Running Workout. You’ve seen it. You have 12 days to do it. Report back.
- Watch and try this wall squat! It’s not easy, but I believe in you!
- Revisit BostonStrongHB! One of my favorite running moments of 2013.
- Reminisce on the Accidental Ultra relay. Hardest race I didn’t run.
- What I’ve learned about running long. Share your experience!
- Tell me, is my new hair “festive” or “funky” or something else? Comment below.
WHAT I’LL BE WORKING ON:
RRCA coaching course.s sell out within hours of being posted and cost more than I can afford to spend with only a few hours notice. I jokingly called for help on Facebook yesterday and within hours, friends had PayPal’d me nearly $100! This just goes to show you how uncommonly kind people really are! Seriously, you folks know how to make a gal feel special! Unfortunately, the closest course is already full and I’m on a waiting list.
I don’t want to take people’s money, but I was thinking….if I offered to create customized marathon training plans for 10 people, would they pay me $26.20 for it? That way I could earn enough to pay for the RRCA course if I get in or if another one becomes available. What do you think? Good idea?
This year long running challenge is going to evolve a little for 2014 and I am working hard on setting it all up! If you’re a running blogger and want to help me make Run This Year 2014 even awesome-r, >>>fill out this form<<< by December 27th, 2013!
REMINDER: Enter our last 2013 GIVEAWAY! Run This Year’s 2013 Grand Finale Givevaway (with 16 prizes) is still going on (until Dec. 31st). Click here to enter. Winners will be announced first thing in 2014!
I’m starting a new online community in 2014. Yes. ANOTHER one. I have an addiction….I want a place to talk with others about the connection between my physical and spiritual growth. As there are no good options currently available, I’m creating one.
FFinspired (Faith and Fitness Inspired) will be a niche network of Christians who see a strong connection between their fitness and their faith. Want to get involved? Apply here.
As if all that weren’t enough, I’m writing something of a challenge or program that is meant to be about 10 weeks along, include daily readings and activities, and encourage the integration of physical and spiritual fitness. There’s a good chance I’ll get to try this out on a local group in early 2014. I may even open it up to an online beta group if I can figure out a good way to do it!
——– Whew. Okay. Spilled all my beans. ———-
Normally I would NOT share these brand new baby ideas that I’m not even sure about myself here on a public blog. Normally I’d be too scared. However, I’m tired of not moving forward with inspiration when it comes. It’s time to take some risks, to see what I can make happen. Some ideas might fail and some might transform into a monster with a life of it’s own!
Now, when I say that I’m taking the next 12 or so days off blogging to work on these projects…suddenly it doesn’t seem like enough time at all! AHHH!
[Sarcasm] I can hear you now, “But how will we ever get through Christmas and New Years without knowing what you’re doing and being amused at your little videos?”Ha! If you want to chat, find me on TWITTER. If you want to see videos, follow on INSTAGRAM. If you see what stupid thoughts I have over the next 12 or so days, find me on FACEBOOK!
——– Thanks for reading! ———-
This year was kind of weird. I quit my full-time job to focus on running and blogging. Then I couldn’t run for over half of the year. Life is not predictable. Through all of it, I have been so thankful and so blessed this year by the support and an encouragement from friends (real life or virtual only) who have come here, read my posts, and left comments. Thank you so much! I’m excited to share more adventures with you in 2014!

- Seriously, is the hair color and bangs a bit much?
- Would you pay me $26.20 for a customized training plan so I can get a certification?
- Are the holidays a super busy time for you or a down time?
- What are you most looking forward to in the next 12 days?
Yay!! I love all that you shared… and YES!! I would pay you 26.22 to help create a customized training plan! 🙂
Love that you’re putting your thoughts “out there”. It helps not only with accountability but with focus. You are a truly fabulous person and I can’t wait to see your 2014 unfold.
I would definitely pay you for a running plan if I were doing a 26.2. You should think about doing a Ragnar plan.
Happy Holidays lady!
Oh yes, a Ragnar Plan would be fun! Let’s see…you have until April right? 🙂
I like the 26.20 idea for a running plan! I am hesitant to shell out the big bucks for a marathon plan, but that is way more manageable!
Well, I’ve “sold” 3. I can take 7 more folks. Do you have a race in mind?
Totally love the idea of raising $ for the RRCA course by creating customized plans – I would definitely be interested!! And your FFinspired community sounds AWESOME!!
I am excited for you and your plans for the new year. I know you will be successful, because you are smart, driven, and can think outside the box. I hope you’ll be able to get into a coaching workshop because you will make an amazing coach. Good luck in the new year, Tiffany, you deserve it.
Thank you Debbie! That means a lot. 😀
Enjoy your 12 day break! Although it can hardly be called a break with all your plans haha! Way to take 2014 by the horns!!!
Enjoy your vacay from blogging! I look forward to reading more about your adventures in 2014!
You commented on my blog a week or so ago and I couldn’t find the link to your blog because of the Google profile settings, and today I found your comment on Pavement Runner’s post and connected the dots! I’m so glad to have found your blog and look forward to reading more! I’m interested and excited for your challenge. I really like hearing about challenges and participating if they fit with what I’m able to do. Congrats on the Run This Year in 2013! I look forward to participating more in 2014. A stress fracture kept me away from running for too long this year and it switched my focus. I’m definitely going to have to participate in some of these things you linked to while you’re gone!
Wanted to say I’d definitely pay $26.20 for a marathon training plan. Do you still have any slots available? Still reading through this post but I’m really excited about all your doing.
Hey Lacy! I do have a spot left! Shoot me an e-mail at runninghutch at gmail 🙂
I would definitely consider paying for a running plan esp a marathon because its a huge undertaking and I’m not convinced my training has been awesome for my first one.
Funky AND Festive!!! Lurve the hair!!!
HEY! Thank you!!!! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
Was I too late to be considered for the team?
JILL! I’m emailing you.
2014 will be big! I’m excited to see how it all unfolds! 🙂
I would pay $26.20 for a customized marathon training plan! I’ll email you now!
