I promised myself I would volunteer at some events this year and give back to the running community what I so deeply appreciate during all the races I can’t seem to stop signing up for: helping hands. Thanks to doing research for my Pace Per Mile state reports, I found the Newport Beach Challenge, their… [Read More]
In all the events I’ve attended, I’ve always been the runner. In several instances, there’s been folks along the course supporting me. Sometimes a friend jumps on at mile 18 with some gatorade and pretzels. Most of the time, it’s my husband running half the marathon alongside me to help me keep pace and carry… [Read More]
This all started in 2010 actually. A quick glance through my very first post shows just how much has changed since I set upon this adventure. Very excited to see Deena at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles expo today! I saw her when I ran the San Jose half marathon a few weeks ago, which she won (I was at mile 4 when she was at like mile 10). She signed my race bib!
