It’s the Fall Holiday season! Or Fallidays! Recovering from surgery means I am running less but thinking about food more. So I’ve collected a bunch of tasty ideas to munch my way through. Here are my favorite Interesting New Holiday Recipes to try!
CHEWY Gingerbread Cookies
Oh Snap! Or better yet, don’t. After a friend brought these chewy miracles to Football Sunday, I questioned my devotion to the Chocolate Chip cookie. I found THIS RECIPE from Wholefully.com and it is gooood (imagine field goal arm motions right here).
Stew IN A PUMPKIN
My cousin told me about this idea of roasting stew in a pumpkin and I’m thinking this would be a great Halloween dinner tradition. Just don’t use the carved ones! Here is a fabulous recipe from Cooking with K!
Lemon Gingersnap Ice Cream
The coolness of lemon with the heat of ginger in ice cream form is perfection! So… technically I did NOT make this. My friend did… with her ice cream maker… at my request… as I sat and watched. Well, I juiced a lemon. I have amazing friends. Get the recipe at Delishably.com!
Dirty Pear Toddy
Okay, this is one of MY recipes. Alcohol optional, but if you’re going to go through the trouble of juicing pears to simmer cinnamon sticks in, you might as well go full bourbon. Get my recipe here and sip happy.

Here are a few other recipes I’ve done over the years. Recipe creation isn’t my forte but when I make something I like, I can’t help but share.
